	Sam Sparro – Black And Gold (Island 7/4/08) Landing like a rocket on the radio airwaves this is the tune of the year so far, pure dance–pop genius. Hailing from LA, Sam Sparro is a 25 year old with electro soul to the bones producing tunes that will bounce around your head long after they’ve ended. This is the taster, get ready for the gold that is the album which is due out on 28th April.
	Ida Maria – Stella (RCA out now) Crazy, beautiful & Scand–olousy Norwegian, Ida Maria is a star who is ready to shine. Anyone who has not seen this lady live had better hot–foot it to the front as you will not want to miss the most refreshing, passionate performer of the moment. This is her first single taken from the ballsy blinding album which is out later this year.
	Duffy – Warwick Avenue (Rough Trade album ‘Rockferry’ out now) You cannot escape this Welsh blonde beauty if you try, she’s like Pringles, once you listen you can’t stop. Straight in to the top of the charts, her luminous Dusty–like vocals are in your heart to stay and this is a sneaky preview of her next single which is due out later this year. You’ll never look at the tube stop in the same way.

	Jordin Sparks – Tattoo (Jive 31/3/08) Annoyingly catchy and annoyingly good, this is the second single from the youngest American Idol winner Jordin Sparks. Written by Stargate and with a hook as big as the Captain himself, it is still a massive US hit, and is taken from Jordin’s debut self–titled album which is out on 7th April.
	Kenna – Out Of Control (Polydor 28/4/08) If you want to find out about someone, look at his mates so this bodes well for Ethiopian born American singer/songwriter/producer Kenna, the secret surprise for 2008. One friend signed him to his label and the other produced his album, and he is currently on tour with Ronson. This is his first single taken from the album ‘Make Sure They See My Face’ produced by Chad Hugo and out on Pharrell’s Star Trak/Interscope Records on 5th May.
	Chris Brown – With You (SonyBMG 24/3/08) Only 18 with Grammy & Billboard nominations a plenty and 2 albums under his belt, he’s not just a simple name and he’s no Mario. This is the second single from last years’ 1.3 million selling album ‘Exclusive’ and is penned by the hit–factory that is Stargate which smoothly teases Usher’s R’N’B crown off his head.


	Inara George – Trouble Taken from ‘Rock And Roll Doctor: A Tribute to Lowell George’, we bring you a version of George’s classic ‘Trouble’ sung by his daughter Inara who is better known for her partnership with Greg Kurstin in The Bird & The Bee. This was originally on Little Feat’s wonderful Sailin’ Shoes album and has been hand–picked from a catalogue which is full of gorgeously coverable gems.
	Kelly Willis – Success Staying on a rootsy tip, here’s Americana Queen, Kelly Willis, working her singular magic on an old Iggy Pop number. Taken from his legendary 1977 Lust For Life album, former Stooge James Newell Osterberg, Jr, who’ll be 61 next month, may still be untouchable on stage, but many of his songs are eminently reworkable, as Kelly shows here - here comes my Chinese rug, indeed!


	Sargasso Trio – Heels On Fire The Sargasso Trio are Emily, Pete and Ben, three super–talented musicians whose harmonious blending of vocals, country guitars & Casio keyboards have created a truly contemporary English folk sound.
